Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on second front free-endpaper John Soane, Esquire./ With Mr. Moyes's most/ respectful Compliments./ August 24, 1816. James Moyes (1779--1838) was the printer of several of Soane's works and also sold books to him for his library. See A.T. Bolton, The portrait of Sir John Soane (London 1927), p. 244.
