With an inserted letter of condolence on the death of Soane's son, John junior from the printer, James Moyes (d. 1838) of 47 Doughty Street, dated 2 November 1823. See A. T. Bolton, The Portrait of Sir John Soane (London 1927), p. 366 where the letter is reprinted. Moyes was also one of the booksellers from whom Soane bought for his library, and the printer of several of Soane's own works.
Binding C19th half calf, blind floral roll-tool borders, marbled-paper boards, blind thick-thin ruled and gilt-dotted spines direct-lettered in gilt 'London 1823', blue morocco spine-labels.
