The text is attributed to William Alexander, an assistant keeper of antiquities at the British Museum. Tooley, no. 375.

Binding C19th dark blue morocco, both covers with central diaper pattern lozenge motif and decorative borders tooled in gilt and blind to match the companion volumes on English (q.v.), Chinese (q.v.), Russian (q.v.), and Turkish costume (q.v.), blind- and gilt-tooled spine direct-lettered in gilt 'Costume Of Austria', gilt edges.
