First published in 1550 (q.v.). Based on the 1759 Rome edition edited with notes by Giovanni Bottari. With a preface by the Florentine painter Tommaso Gentili and dedication in vol. I signed by the publisher Marco Coltellini. Volumes II--VII have imprint: Firenze: per Gio. Batista Stecchi, e Anton-Giuseppe Pagani. Ad istanza di Tommaso Masi, e Comp. di Livorno, dated 1771--1772. Title-pages printed in red and black. Volume I has engraved title-page vignette; title-pages to vols II--VII have woodcut printer's vignette. The final leaves of vols IV and VI are blanks.
