The name of the publisher and date of publication are taken from the colophon. The text and marginal notes pertaining to the iconography of the bas reliefs on the antique marble altar are printed in ornamental woodcut frames; accompanied by plates and vignettes engraved by Carlo Antonini. The title-page vignette is designed by Franciszek Smuglewicz.

Copy Notes Bound first with Orlandi's Osservazioni ... sopra un sacro cameo antico, 1773 (q.v.) and T. Astle (ed.), The will of King Henry VII, 1775 (q.v.). Front free-endpaper inscribed in pencil Antiquarian Tracts/ Museum/ Curious Plates =3s=, probably by the bookseller Thomas Boone; this might be the volume of 'Tracts 4to' purchased from Boone for 3s. on 5 July 1815. (Spiers Box).

Binding C18th half calf, gilt-ruled spine, marbled-paper boards, red spine label lettered 'Tracts', later numbered '19' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
