Another issue 'Sold by the author' is dated 1795. At foot of title: 'Price 2s. 6d.' The author is noted in the Biographical dictionary of the living authors, 1816 (q.v.), pp. 326--7, as 'formerly the resident apothecary of the Small pox and Inoculating hospital; and at present a vendor of nostrums in Somers-Town'. The final leaf advertises medicines and consultations available from the author. ESTC n65608.

Binding C19th half green roan, blind double-ruled borders, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-ruled spine, gilt-lettered. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson for 1s. 8d., 2 August 1830. (Spiers Box. 51).
