The first part of the sale was held by Evans on 8 June 1815, and a final portion on 22 May 1817. Thomas King auctioned Towneley's topographical drawings and prints in 1816 (q.v.).
Copy Notes Indications marked in ink against several lots without notice of any purchases; for instance, there is a mark against lot 1153 'Molinet's Cabinet de la Bibliotheque de Sainte Genevieve. Par. 1692' and Soane's copy may have been this one acquired within a month through Thomas Boone on 5 July 1815 (q.v.); likewise lot 1691 'Wren's Parentalia ... VERY SCARCE 1750' but Soane only acquired a copy of that through Thomas Boone in 1817 (q.v.). Bound in a collection of sale catalogues.
Binding Later C19th half green binder's cloth, marbled-paper boards.
