Docket-title: Particulars of Piercefield. The description of the buildings refers to the Mansion House '(designed by Mr. Soame)' [sic]. Soane designed Piercefield for George Smith between 1785 and 1792. See Ptolemy Dean, Sir John Soane and the country estate, 1999, p. 172. The purchaser on this occasion was Colonel Mark Wood.
Copy Notes Docket-title inscribed in ink Mr Lincoln / Lambs Conduit St. / next Door to a Cheesemonger. Bound (2) in a collection of estate particulars.
Binding Later C19th marbled-paper boards, ribbed morocco-grain cloth spine gilt-lettered 'Sale Catalogues'. 37.6 cm. Later numbered '48' in a series of sale catalogue volumes.
