The second day's sale issued with separate title-page reading as above but with date 'Wednesday the 8th of April' only. Some ink deletions in the text as of items withdrawn from sale ('Tenant's Fixtures'). The premises in question on Old Jewry concern the site at the north-east corner where Soane was to build the National Debt Redemption Office in 1818--19.
Copy Notes Interleaved copy with extensive annotation in ink of prices, some annotations and additional leaves headed Loose lots, also The Governors and Company of the Bank of England (by Direction of John Soane Esqr ) / in Account Current with ACreaton & Son. The tally commences To attending Premises in the / Old Jewry taking previous Inventory / of Materials intended for Sale / ... with Soane's fee £62 18s. Blue paper wrapper of first day's sale retained, inscribed in ink Sale Account / Old Jewry / Sold April 6th 7th & 8th - 1818. The two parts bound (23) and (24) in a collection of estate particulars.
Binding Later C19th marbled-paper boards, ribbed morocco-grain cloth spine gilt-lettered 'Sale Catalogues'. 37.6 cm. Later numbered '48' in a series of sale catalogue volumes.
