The title-pages are engraved and tinted, and are counted in the pagination. With final leaf advertising the author's Picturesque beauties of the River Thames, 1792 (q.v.). ESTC t130391.

Copy Notes Pencil annotation in vol. I, p. 3 altering 'Colonel Campbell' to Colin. Inscribed in pencil on verso of front free-endpaper of vol. I Uniform 10 Vols. £10:10:0 / fine impressions, with a list of Ireland's seven titles (Thames, Holland, Medway, Wye, Inns of Court, Hogarth) / Complete 10 vs Collated perfect. Bound as a set with eight other volumes by John and Samuel Ireland, on Hogarth (q.v.), the Inns of Court (q.v.), and the rivers Thames (q.v.), Avon (q.v.), Medway (q.v.), Wye (q.v.).

Binding C19th mottled calf, gilt double-rule borders, gilt-tooled spines with sunbursts, black and green spine-labels, marbled edges and endpapers. Uniform with six other works by John and Samuel Ireland (see above).
