Notice of the 'Second exhibition of this Society', opening on 'Monday, the 28th of March', including a list of donations which includes Soane (at £52 10s.). The Society of British Artists was founded in 1823, as an alternative to the Royal Academy of Arts whose membership was restricted in numbers, and to the 'short period during which the British Institution is devoted to the interests of native talent'.
