First printed by the bookseller Edward Castle in 1696; the second edition reprints the 'Dedication' dated 1696 and incorporates the author's own additions and corrections. An investigation into a variety of psychic and supernatural phenomena. Page 160 is misnumbered 158. ESTC t89806.

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting the illustration and pp. 233--236 of the index. The name of E. Curll in the imprint is inked out. Inscribed in ink inside front pastedown W:C: Book [or Cook?]. Inscription in ink beneath library label: Found Imperfect in Index January 1837. GB i.e. George Bailey, the first curator of the Museum after Soane's death.

Binding C18th sprinkled calf, gilt double-ruled borders, gilt-tooled spine compartments. Spine-label lost.
