Purpose
Finished drawing for a sideboard table for the dining room, 1765, unexecuted (1)
Notes
Although this design was unexecuted in the dining room, a modified version of the design was executed three times for the sideboard tables in the ante room at Syon.
The sideboard tables in the dining room at Syon were executed from a design made for Osterley.
Other furniture in this room includes window pier tables from Northumberland House, nineteenth-century brass candelabra, also from Northumberland House, and a beautiful clock by Benjamin Vuillamy, datable to 1785, within a case ornamented with Wedgwood medallions.
