Notes
Adam volumes 22/36-41 show two attempts at making a design for the ante room chimneypiece. All three of the designs dating from 1762 were rejected, but it appears that Adam made a second attempt in 1764, and the chimneypiece was finally executed in accordance with Adam volume 22/39.
