Harris has noted that the oval mirror with projecting shelves at the sides - as seen here - was first used by Adam in c1771 for the Hon. Frederick Thynne and then again at Kenwood in 1773.
The intended location for this pier glass frame is not known. Moreover, it is not known if it was executed, but if it was, then it would probably have been sold at auction following Keate’s death alongside his other effects, and is now lost.
