Purpose
Design for the ceiling for the back drawing room, 1774, executed at number 2 Robert Street (1)
Notes
The chamber designated here as the back drawing room is located at the back on the first storey of the building.
This design was not executed at number 1 Robert Street, and instead minor alterations were made to a design intended for a room at number 1 York Buildings (Adam volume 13/44), with oval medallions rather than round ones, which survived to be photographed by the LCC in 1936. This design was executed in the front drawing room at number 2 Robert Street. It survives and was photographed by the LCC in 1962.
