Number 4 Adam Street
Number 4 Adam Street was located on the eastern side of the street, to the south of the centre of the block. The first resident of this house is not known, but from 1805 numbers 4 and 5 were used by the Commissioners for Auditing Public Accounts, and in 1844-56 they were occupied by William Butterfield, the architect.
