Purpose

Design for one wall for the first scheme for the eating parlour (later the ball room), 1771, unexecuted (1)

Notes

This scheme for the interior of the eating parlour was not executed.

Within the drawings collection of the Yale Center for British Art at New Haven there is a preliminary design and four finished drawings for the first scheme for the walls of the eating parlour. These drawings are either dated or datable to 1771, and the preliminary design and one of the finished drawings show the same wall as Adam volume 50/58.
