Notes
The little dressing room is located on the principal storey of Adam’s central block, at the southern end of the side (west) front, adjacent to the lady’s dressing room. On Adam’s plan of the house (Adam volume 43/46) the room is labelled as another Bedchamber. The little dressing room and the lady’s dressing room have been knocked together to form a single room which is used as a library. However, the ceilings for both dressing rooms were executed in accordance with Adam’s designs (Adam volume 12/64-65) and both survive in situ.
