Purpose
Preliminary design, design and finished drawing for a sideboard table and wine cistern for the dining room, 1783, as executed (3)
Notes
It is thought that both the table and wine cistern were executed in accordance with Adam’s designs to stand in the apse of the dining room (later the library). The wine cistern survives in situ, but the table was lost when the room was converted into a library in 1807 and the bookcases took its place.
