[4] Preliminary design for the ceiling of the principal room, 1774, unexecuted
Aspect
Rough plan of a rectangular ceiling, ornamented with three contiguous oval frames, ornamented with central medallions, enclosed within fluted frames ornamented with crockets, and bands composed of enclosed anthemia, and between these three oval compartments are anthemia and calyx, supported by semicircular compartments along the edges, containing enclosed rosettes flanked by festoons, and alternating with rectangular tablets, and the ceiling has a border of Vitruvian scroll
