Purpose
Unfinished design and record drawing for a carpet for the apsidal third drawing room, 1772, probably as executed (2)
Notes
All of Adam's interior decorative schemes for 20 Soho Square are thought to have been executed, but this is speculative as it was largely redecorated during the nineteenth century. It is, however, likely that this carpet was executed as its design is related to Adam's ceiling for the same room (Adam volume 12/108).
