[43] Working drawing for a painted chimneypiece for Lady Mansfield's sitting-cum-dressing room, unexecuted, 1783

Aspect

Elevation of a detail of the stiles and frieze. The stile is composed of two Ionic pilasters with painted ornamentation in between of rosettes, beading, a bow, a peltoid shield, and a calyx. The frieze is ornamented with an enclosed rosette, a band of foliate ornamentation, and a band of cable moulding
