Notes
Matthew Ducie Moreton, 2nd Baron Moreton (c1765-1770) undertook a long political and public career, after which he was created 1st Baron Ducie in 1763. He died unmarried, but the Ducie Barony passed to his sister's son, Thomas Reynolds (1733-85), who was able to assume the name of Moreton, and the title of 2nd Baron Ducie owing to a special remainder in its creation.
Little is known of the 2nd Baron Ducie, but evidently in 1772 he commissioned Robert Adam to make designs for a terraced house. The intended location of this terraced house is unknown, and it is not known to have been executed.
