Notes

Patteson owes me (in another hand) 2.55 / 1.38 / 3.90 and sketches which include an urn, ewer, details of decoration, (?) carrying box, a man's head and Mr MMM, and (in another and unsteady hand) Carcer / Lib. Proil. / little RefectoireHenry Greswold Lewis (1753-1829) of Malvern Hall, Warwickshire, and John Patteson (1755-1833) of Norwich accompanied Burdon and Soane on their tour of Sicily, and so (for part of the time) did Dr Thomas Bowdler (1754-1825) and John Stuart/Stewart (1754-1817) of Allanbank, Berwickshire.
