Notes
This drawing is the companion to Adam vol.56/147 to which it is similar in style and technique; it may be unfinished. Both drawings are untypical of the drawings by Robert Adam in this volume. They both have horizontal fold lines towards the top; the numerals '1' on 56/147 and '2' here suggest that they were part of a larger set. They both appear to have been composed in pencil and wash, with penwork added over this. There is a variation of the circular interior with roundels shown here in Adam vol.57/122.
