Aspect
Plan of a square ceiling, showing alternatives for the ornament, with a central medallion, enclosed within a lozenge-shaped frame, and a circular frame of Vitruvian scroll, enclosing four winged sphinxes, and with an apron of vesica-shaped medallions, enclosed within squares on one side, and enclosed rosettes hung from arabesques, all connected by a large circular wreath of poppies, and with segmental compartments in each corner, two of which contain segmental rosettes enclosed within a fan ornamented with anthemia, and the other two contain peltoid shields and double calyx hung from festoons
