[9] Finished drawing for a ceiling for the second drawing room, 1770, executed with minor alterations
Aspect
Plan of a rectangular ceiling, with a central oval medallion, enclosed within a fluted frame, and a band of enclosed anthemia alternating with calyx, and the whole set within an oval frame, which continues into an enclosed rosette on four sides, alternating with miniature enclosed rosettes, and which support festoons of bell flowers, from which hang peltoid shields, and a drop in each corner, composed of anthemia, calyx, tubular flowers, tablets of miniature rosettes supporting winged sphinxes and with aprons of swags, and medallions
