[8] Preliminary design for a lamp for the staircase, c1775-76, unexecuted
Aspect
Elevation of a wall bracket, composed of arabesques, and a half figure with a tail of calyx, connected to a glass lantern containing an oil lamp, ornamented with gadrooning, and with a conical canopy supported scrolls, and the lantern is further supported by a tubular flower-shaped, fluted wall bracket, ornamented with a lion mask, and a band of lambrequins enclosing calyx, and with a pencil-drawn plan for another object below
