Purpose
Preliminary designs and finished drawings for a banqueting house, 1785, unexecuted (7)
Notes
None of Adam's designs for Lowther Hall or its estate buildings were executed.
The banqueting house was intended to be located a few miles to the east of Lowther Hall, overlooking Ullswater. It would have been too far from the house to walk, explaining the necessity of a porte cochère for carriages.
