[2] Design for a carpet for the drawing room, 1775

Aspect

Plan of a circular carpet, set within the plan of a rectangular room with segmental bows on each long end. The carpet has a central rosette, encircled by a fan enclosing anthemia, a band of Vitruvian scroll, rosettes and festoons, and with a border of rosettes enclosed within figure-of-eight wreaths
