[12] Finished drawing for the ceiling for the great room at Bowood, 1763
Aspect
Plan of a rectangular, coved ceiling. The corners of the cove are ornamented with masks, urns, anthemia, and rinceaux, and the sides of the cove ornamented with octagons and square containing rosettes. The central flat is ornamented with a pattern of contiguous circles containing paterae encircled by either framed of fluting, or wreaths, and with rinceaux between each circle
