Purpose
[9] Finished drawing for a boathouse, c1775-78, unexecuted
Aspect
Plan and elevation within a landscape, showing a boathouse with one mooring, flanked by turrets, and with a walkway around the interior walls of the mooring. The elevation shows a lancet-arched opening to the mooring, surmounted by balustrading, and with a narrow two-storey pepper-pot turret on one side, and a larger tower containing a spiral staircase to the other. The staircase presumably leads to the balustraded roof over the mooring
