The three panels shown here are derived from the panels in the Vatican loggia (see Adam vol.26/33-37 and 26/188-201, which were also collected for James Adam). There is another set of twelve such panels, also from an Adam source, at the Soane Museum, SM AL29E. Unlike those, the drawings here are in pen and wash rather than watercolour, and the draughtsmanship is much weaker; they may have been copied in Rome.
