This drawing, along with three others by Manocchi within the Adam drawings collection at Sir John Soane's Museum, has pin holes in the margins. Such holes are the result of the paper being pinned to a board during the drawing and washing process. This was common practice and it is likely that the other Manocchi drawings also had such pin holes until they were cropped away.
