[5] Preliminary design for the second scheme for the mausoleum, 1761, unexecuted
Aspect
Plan and elevation of a single-storey, three-bay building, with a pyramidal roof, and with a central door, surmounted by a Diocletian window, and within a rusticated relieving arch, and flanked by projecting end bays, articulated by engaged Doric columns and containing rusticated sculpture-filled niches. With a Doric frieze, and an attic ornamented with an inscription panel, masks and festoons. The plan shows a T-shaped arrangement of catacombs (verso) a rough plan and profile of the building shown on the recto
