Copy of a detail of James Stuart's interior decorative scheme for Kedleston, 1758, unexecuted (1)

Notes

This drawing is a rapidly sketched copy in Adam's hand of one of James Stuart's unexecuted designs for the interior decoration for Kedleston. Adam had been critical of Stuart's designs for Kedleston when he first knew Curzon, but according to Harris he no doubt found Stuart's designs instructive, particularly with regard to furnishings.
