Record drawings for villa B, c. June 1800 (2)
Notes
Drawing 11 corresponds closely to drawing 9. It is very sketchy in nature and was probably not intended as a design but rather as a preparatory sketch for a presentation drawing.
Drawing 12 is the only surviving design for the entrance front of villa B. However, it appears to correspond to drawing 11 with its curved outer bays. A dentillated cornice has been added to drawing 12.
The date of both drawings 11 and 12 is likely to be around 1800 as the volume of pen sketches date between 1798 and 1800 and the drawings themselves correspond to other elevation designs at this period.
