Notes

In the opinion of A. A. Tait, this drawing relates in time and place or subject to those contained in Adam volume 7.This drawing is a more elaborate version of the drawing in Adam vol.19/109, with the addition of a black ink framing line, scale and dimensions. They may both be compared with designs) by James Gibbs (1682-1754) in A Book of Architecture (London, 1728, pls.70 and 78), a copy of which was in the library at Blair Adam. William Adam also subscribed to the volume.
