Black chalk outline of a seated female figure. This drawing is probably part of an abandoned composition, possibly in the same hand.
Notes
This drawing and that in Adam vol.26/74 depict antique fragments at the Villa Medici, Rome, which were well-known in the nineteenth century when they were drawn as restored by Julien Guadet (see H. d'Espouy, Fragments d'Architecture Antique, 2 vols., Paris, 1905, I, p.12, pl.82; see also M. Cagiano de Azevedo, Le Antichità di Villa Medici, Roma, Rome, 1951).
