Notes

Dean (op.cit.) notes of the 'Walled Garden, Gardener's Cottage & Peach house: Photos from the 1950s (SM archive) show these corresponding closely to [the] drawings. The house was set on the central axis of the walled garden .... The walls survive, but stripped of their lean-to glass houses. The simple brick house is now almost unrecognizable, with modern render and fenestration. Soane's peach house has been replaced by a swimming pool'.
