[34] Design for an ornamental panel, possibly for a drawing room, 1779, possibly executed
Aspect
Elevation of a panel ornamented with a tablet containing an 'Etruscan' cameo, this is flanked by pedestals supporting urns, and surmounted by an 'Etruscan' urn, ornamented with Vitruvian scroll and flanked by winged sphinxes. Above this there are tubular flowers, arabesques and an anthemion. The tablet has an apron of an ox mask festoons of beading suspending ornamental crosses, and an 'Etruscan' cameo enclosed within a band of beading. Below this there is a pendent oil lamp with an apron of calyx, arabesques and an anthemion
