Purpose
[10] Design for the funerary monument of Admiral Boscawen, 1761, unexecuted (3)
Aspect
Plan, elevation and profile with a plain pedestal with projecting ends, surmounted by squat fluted columns decorated with coronets in medallions, supporting strigilated urns. Set back in the centre is a sarcophagus with scrolled pediment. On top is a bust set into a circular concave fluted recess within a pyramid ornamented with a wreath and swags, and with naval trophies at the base
