Purpose
Preliminary alternative designs for the funerary monument of Major General James Wolfe, 1759, unexecuted (4)
Notes
All four of these variant designs follow the same layout with a central relief panel in front of an obelisk or pyramid in relief, and flanked by pedestals, though the arrangement and motifs vary widely. All four show consistency in the basic composition of the relief panel depicting Wolfe's death.
