Purpose
Working drawings for plaster work, by Thomas Palmer and Son, measuring book dated 29 June 1825 (4)
Notes
Drawings 4a to 4d are in a measuring book of plasterer's work, with measurements arranged by room. Plasterers were working at the house in 1824, as Thomas Ward's progress letters report (7/22/36,34,21). The walls were plastered from March to August, and then the finer enrichments were made. For example, on 1 August 1824 Ward writes: 'The plasterers are floating the eating room and preparing the enrichments for the cornice' (7/22/21) and on 19 September: 'The plasterers are running beads in Mr Sillitoe's dressing room' (7/22/47).
