Working drawings for the kitchen garden wall, 13 June and 6 July 1826 (2)
Notes
The kitchen garden at Pell Wall was located across a lawn overlooked by the south side of the house. It was surrounded by a 12 feet high brick wall with stone coping, ornamented with domical stone caps. The 3 feet 8 inch wide arched entrance to the kitchen garden is shown on drawings 21 and 22. As drawing 23 indicates on plan, six of these entrances were arranged around the garden.
