Notes
Drawing 212 shows a simple design in which the jambs have a black marble inlay panel pilaster; the verso has a slight variation on the recto design. Drawing 213, drawn over in Soane's hand, has a more decorative design that includes brackets with acanthus decoration supporting the mantel. Drawing 214 has details for a corner of a bookcase, intermediate wall area, the cornice to the chimneypiece and an elaborate treatment with beading for a looking Glass.
