[19] Finished drawing for a garden pavilion, 1764, unexecuted
Aspect
Diagonal section (running from to top left-hand corner to the bottom right-hand corner on the plans in Adam volumes 19/135-136) through a two-storey circular, domed temple, with urn-filled niches on the exterior walls of the basement, which contains a central octagonal, domed room, flanked by domed circular rooms, one of which contains a chimneypiece, and in the upper register is a domed, circular room, containing a door, flanked by large windows, and with walls ornamented with painted pilasters, medallion overdoors, figurative panels, a fluted frieze, and a dome ornamented with grotesque work, and with two further doors in section leading into small domed rooms, one of which contains a chimneypiece, and the other with an apsidal end
