[37] Design for a chimneypiece for Lady Bathurst's dressing room / third drawing room, 1774, possibly executed
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece with tripartite stiles ornamented with masks, rosettes, tubular flowers and drop calyx. The lining is ornamented with fluting and the capitals contain ram masks, swags and roundels depicting sphinxes. The frieze is ornamented with anthemia and arabesques and the mantel has a band of Vitruvian scroll
