Purpose

Finished drawing for a pedestal, 1765 (1)

Notes

It is not known if this pedestal design was executed. Adam did design pedestals for the vestibule, on the south front of the south range at Audley End, between the great drawing room and the dining room, and this may be a design for these pedestals. The original Adam pedestals in the vestibule have since been replaced with modern alternatives.
